Tray Features and Details

In developing the Forever Tray, I had four objectives in mind:

• Provide a tray that will cut costs for cat owners 
• Make all aspects --from the tray to the packaging it comes in -- as eco-friendly as possible (less waste and land-fill) 
• Make it easy to use 
• Make it as leak-proof as possible  

The tray incorporates all these features:

• One-piece construction for strength and integrity. 
• Lightweight construction materials for ease of handling during changing and cleaning, without sacrificing strength and durabililty. (The tray assembly is made from HIPS -- High Impact Poly Styrene, which is light and strong while at the same time fully recyclable). 
• The trademark Forever Tray removable clear lid design is used for convenience and ease of cleaning. 
• Engineered for those of us with "side pee-ers".  The tray is designed so that the Scoop Free rests on the top edges of the tray, resulting in pressing a tighter gap between the top edge of the tray and the SF and reducing the chances of urine leakage due to "side pee-er's" -- yet at the same time retaining the proper distance of the rake to the bottom of the tray for efficient operation of the rake. (Some side pee-er's require further steps to help prevent leakage -- see the section on "leaking tray" here at the website for remedies for those stubborn kitties).
• I've also added an anti-sliding ridge to reduce sliding of litter into the "poop compartment" (a highly technical term), plus an additional second barrier to improve containment (see detail below).
